Review
Peter's life has not been easy--his parents are killed in front of him, then a woman he befriends dies in his arms. He can't imagine things can get any worse, but they do... much worse.
After his parents die, a local pastor takes him in but nobody shares with him his destiny. Suddenly on the run, Peter meets friends and enemies along the way. He has to trust his gut and two friends, Angel and Kyle, who seem to have pieces to the puzzle of his life. They are all on the path to extreme evil, and time is running out.
I couldn't help but root for Peter, Angel, and Kyle. They had each suffered through horrible events and refused to go down without a fight. In addition, the story is fast-paced and intriguing, full of unexpected twists and turns. From page one, I wanted to know more--particularly what made Peter so special.
Somewhere, about one-third of the way through, I found the story a bit convoluted and sluggish. But quickly, once the plot details started to flesh out, I was reinvested in the story and racing to the finish to see what would happen. The final scenes took my breath away, and the ending suggested future installments to come.
