The Self-Help Stress Solutions - Nutrition for Stress Relief by Darlene Josaphe (4 stars) - Review & Kindle Fire HD Giveaway

About Nutrition for Stress Relief (49 Pages)

Often times, we start to eat better in response to a particular situation, such as feeling sick or fatigued. Yet these habits wear off and we're back to our normal eating patterns. You can't eat healthy some of the time and expect it to nourish your body for the long haul.

This book shows you how to follow a healthy eating regimen that will allow you to thrive in the everyday world. You will learn how to keep your expectations realistic, incorporate the healthy foods that you love and weed out the foods that are known for causing stress. It may be hard at first, but the end rewards will be worth your effort.

Review

It makes sense that what we put into our body affects our stress. After all, we are what we eat. For most of us, over-busy lives have led to poor eating habits. To improve our overall health, and to reduce stress, we need to focus on natural foods and avoiding foods that cause stress. Sadly, the worst foods for stress are the ones we usually crave like refined sugars.

In addition to poor food choices, we also have to be careful to avoid emotional eating. Recently, I gave up sugar. For the first few days, it was awful. I wanted sugar all the time. Then, I started taking notes on when I wanted it most. Sure enough, it was during stressful moments (kids fighting, deadlines approaching). I'm sure I'm not the only one with that experience.

Darlene Josaphe suggests we incorporate more healthy fats into our diets and details essential foods for combating stress. Nothing about this book is complicated--it's just a down-to-Earth approach to reducing stress by paying attention to what our bodies need.

Nutrition for Stress Relief is a quick read with valuable tips to eat better and reduce stress. Although it's only 49 pages, Darlene Josaphe makes sure each word impacts the reader.
