 Melissa is growing up and facing new challenges by the day. There's a new job, a new boyfriend (which creates confusion when a familiar face comes back around), and some brewing issues at home. 

 This novella is written in a diary format. I was a bit worried at first to pick it up, although I adore the author, because it was book 5. But I must admit... I immediately connected with the character and storyline and never felt I was "missing something." It's got a Bridgette Jones's Diary feel, but from a younger point of view. By the way, that's not to say Melissa's viewpoint isn't intriguing, emotional, thought-provoking, and deep. It's all of those things.

 By the time I reached the last page, I was captivated. Although it's short, it packs a lot of punch, especially at the end. I can't wait to read more stories about Melissa. I have a feeling she's in for quite a ride, and I bet her tales will only get stronger and more heartbreaking.

 Since these are short, why not go back to Book #1 and really fall in love with Melissa?
